It seems that there are Movie Theaters everywhere now and many of them have different ways of watching the movie. Whether in 3D or in IMAX or both the movie watching experience is becoming more and more intense. I have heard about a new and upcoming idea about having movies sent straight to a persons house for 30 dollars a few weeks after it is released. What do you think will be the effect of said plan on the Movie theater industry?

The theaters already get the bulk of their revenue from food sales. More alternatives for customers won't help them, and the independents are already closing their doors. $30 for a movie is out of mine and a lot of peoples' budgets, but I'm sure there are some with disposal income who would be happy to pay extra.

Ironically, this is National Record Store Day. Maybe there should be a day for theaters, too?
